KLEMM--David Robert, President of Klemm Real Estate in Washington Depot, CT, passed away peacefully early Saturday morning in Palm Beach, FL, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in South Bend, IN on January 12, 1938, he attended the University of Notre Dame, and graduated from Indiana University, where he was President of Beta Theta Pi fraternity. After retiring from an illustrious career in radio broadcasting, he moved to Washington, CT in 1977 where he and his wife, Carolyn, began Klemm Real Estate which became Litchfield County's premier luxury real estate firm. David served as President and Director of Marketing for the firm's five offices and forty agents until recently when he handed stewardship over to his two sons. Mr. Klemm is survived by his beloved wife Carolyn Viccari Klemm, his son Peter R. Klemm and daughter-in-law Christina Klemm, his son Graham T. Klemm and partner Matthew Lynn, and adored granddaughter Natalie Klemm. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who was intelligent, honest, articulate, good humored and a great communicator. Although a private man he had countless friends and colleagues who admired his great dignity and the integrity of his life. There will be a private family graveside service.
