BRUCE MCDONELL Obituary

McDONELL--Bruce George, 71, died at home in Pinehurst, NC on May 5th after fighting colon cancer for seven years. Mr. McDonell was born February 3, 1939 to the late Vincent McDonell and Hazel George. He is survived by his wife Tommy McDonell and is four pets. He graduated from the University of Southern California (BA) and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MS) with a degree in Architecture. Bruce worked as a Project Manager for the City of New York's Department of Design and Construction. Some of his many projects include The Museum of Natural History's Planetarium, PS 1, The New York Hall of Science, and the Queens Museum. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Association of Cancer Resources: Colon Cancer (http://www.acor.org/ donate/now) or to the Queens Museum of Art, Flushing, NY, 11368-3398. A memorial will be done in New York City for friends within a month or so.

Tommy, I am so very, very sorry to learn about Bruce's passing away. Even though I did not meet him personally, I know that he was a wonderful person and very devoted to you. May you remember him during the cherished times that you two had together. If there is anything that I can do for you, please let me know.
