RAVIV--Adina Judith, 67, of Maplewood, NJ, passed away on Sunday, May 23, 2010. Devoted wife of Dan Raviv, loving mother of Gil Raviv of New York, NY, excited mother-in-law to be of Emily Rukin of New York, NY and loyal sister to Gabriella Carmi of Ramat Gan, Israel, Adina was an accomplished artist in numerous media. Born in Tel Aviv, Israel, Adina served in the Israeli Air Force, studied at the Bezalel Academy in Jerusalem, and earned degrees from the London College of Printing in London, England and the New School in New York. Adina immigrated to the United States in 1967, where she and Dan lived in New Mexico for a time before settling in New Jersey. In addition to her artistic pursuits, Adina established and successfully operated for many years a floral design and event planning business, and of late had embarked on a third career in real estate. She actively volunteered with the New York Philharmonic and the Museum of Jewish Heritage. Adina was deeply devoted to her community as well as to her family and friends, and her boundless energy, intelligence, sense of humor, creativity, kindness and beauty will not be forgotten by everyone whose lives she touched. Funeral services will be held at Menorah Chapels at Millburn, 2950 Vauxhall Road in Union, NJ at 11:30 am Tuesday, May 25, 2010. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Lustgarten Foundation, Solomon Schechter Day School of Essex and Union Counties, Arts, Drama and Music Fund or the Jewish National Fund.
