WARD--John Gerard Jr. ("Jack"). Died September 3 at the age of 66. A graduate of Fordham University Law School, Jack was an attorney who provided estate services to many New Yorkers during the last 40 years. As the grandson of William J. Ward, founder of The Bank of Coney Island, he managed Ward Realty, representing the last of the original families owning property in Coney Island. He was a former president of the Coney Island Chamber of Commerce, a member of the school board and Water for Life committee at Our Lady of Mercy parish in Forest Hills, and a board member of Camp Mark Seven in Old Forge, NY. He will be dearly remembered by his wife, Mary Beth; three children, John Ward of Huntington, Long Island, Faith Ward of Baltimore, and Kathleen Whitaker of Los Angeles; three sisters; three grandchildren; extended family; and devoted friends. Visiting at Fox Funeral Home Forest Hills, Wednesday 2-5 and 7-9pm. Funeral Mass at our Lady of Mercy Church Thursday 10:45am, interment Chestertown Rural Cemetery Chestertown NY.
