AUERBACH--Philip B., died February 4, 2011, survived by his loved and loving family, his wife of 67 years, Augusta, sons Howard (Mickey) and Richard, daughter-in-law, Andrea and beloved granddaughter, Joy. He was a graduate of Brooklyn Technical High School, The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art and the Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn. Prior to retirement, he served as Vice President and General Manager of Sperry Corporation's Tactical Systems Division and was the founder and first President of Paramax Systems, a Canadian subsidiary of Sperry. He was an active alumnus of Cooper Union and served on its Board of Trustees. He was awarded Cooper's President's Citation in 1981 and Gano Dunn Award for achievement in science and engineering in 1987. Loved and admired by all who knew him.
