NORMAN STEEN Obituary

STEEN--Norman K., 82, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 after a brief and sudden illness, his ever present cigar in hand. An extraordinary man whose warmth and generosity were immeasurable, he took enormous pride and joy in his family. Adored by his children, Evan Steen and Shari Hellman, Barbara and Anthony Borden, and Lauren and Victor Finster, and by his grandchildren, Nicole, Luke, Lowell, Madeleine, Reid and Addison. Devoted brother to the late Ralph Stein and the late Ethel Shaefitz, and cherished uncle of Donald and Hilary Shaefitz and Rhea and the late Stuart Oelbaum. Stormin' Norman you made our lives wonderful, you will be sorely missed. In Memoriam donations may be made to the Hertzberg Palliative Care Institute at Mt. Sinai Hospital, New York.

My sincere condolences to all of the children and grandchildren of my cousin Norman. I shall forever remember all of our family dinners and parties and weddings and just plain phone conversations and I deeply regret not having spent more time with him in the last few years. Rest in peace, dear Norman. Natalie (and Louis)
