PUCCIO--Thomas P. On March 11, 2012. Devoted husband of 21 years to Kathryn Thayer Puccio. Prominent Trial attorney serving with the United States Department of Justice for thirteen years in various capacities including Chief of the Criminal Division and Executive Assistant U.S Attorney in the Eastern District of New York and Chief of the Organized Crime Strike Force; where he successfully investigated and prosecuted the Abscam case. He was one of the few recipients of the Attorney General's Distinguished Service Award, one of the highest honors that can be bestowed by the Department of Justice, to have been given the award on two occasions during his government career. In his private practice, he was a highly respected trial attorney and represented prominent clients Claus Von Bulow, and the New York City Patrolman's Benevolent Association.
