MULLER--Edward M., age 76, of Westport, CT and Manhattan, the beloved husband of Jane Muller, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 with his family by his side. A native of Scotland, Ed made New York his home since 1952 and in 1980 relocated to Westport. His passions for science and knowledge were pursued at the Cooper Union and later at NYU where he received his MBA. His most notable professional achievements included his work with Halcon and most recently Metabolix. Ed will be remembered by his family, friends and colleagues for his thoughtful dependability and uncompromising generosity, amassed over a life well traveled and stylishly spent. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his loving daughters, Gwyneth Muller of Manhattan and Lara Muller and her fiance, Seth Estep of Alexandria, VA. He was preceded in death by his mother, Catherine MacKay. Friends are invited to greet the family on Sunday, July 1, 2012 from 1- 4pm at the Shaughnessey Banks Funeral Home, 50 Reef Rd.
