My heart goes out all the Gold family. Martin and Gloria were dearest friends to my parents, and Martin will was a truly remarkable man. He will be missed, but his zest for life and embrace of its fullest, with integrity, caring, and whimsical humor will always be cherished. I wish he knew how much we cared for him.

Marty was a wonderful man with a great sense of humor and a clever mind. I had the pleasure of enjoying meringue pies with him and Gloria during my time in NYT in the 90s. He will be sorely missed.
