PETER KUSSI

KUSSI--Peter, of Kew Gardens, NY, passed away on October 8, 2012. Born in Prague, Czechoslovakia, Peter had a distinguished career in the field of Czech literature as a scholar, editor and translator. For many years he was a professor at Columbia University, where he taught Czech language and literature. He will always be remembered as a brilliant, dedicated and enthusiastic teacher, a generous mentor, and a loyal and caring friend.
