MENZI--Donald Wilder. Renaissance man, visionary, scholar, mensch, Don Menzi was all of these and so much more. The community of West End Synagogue will long mourn the loss of this remarkable man, our former president. We extend our deepest condolences to his dearest Jane; to his children, Mark (Sandy), Rachel (Roberto), Aaron (Aara) and Richard (Naomi); to his "steps" - Julie (Ryan), Michael (Anne), Andrew (Tasha) and Adam (Ludmila); to his grandchildren, extended family and his many circles of friends and admirers. Don modeled a life lived fully and with enthusiasm, from his studies of Kabbalah to his extraordinary and ongoing efforts towards the betterment of our congregation, transcribing his grandparents' China journals, the Psalms Project he and Jane initiated, taking his grandson Val to piano lessons or tracking down the five rabbis of the Haggadah. He enriched our lives, expanded our intellects, and touched our souls. We will miss him terribly. West End Synagogue Rabbi Marc Margolius Hazzan Ayelet Piatigorsky Jerry Saltzman, President
