I'm very sorry to just have heard of Lenore's passing. I knew her for the several of years we served on Community Board 7 together. She was a classy and elegant woman, and a distinguished colleague on the board. I thought so much of her that, after we served together, I engaged her professionally twice: once to help sell my grandmother's UWS apartment, and then again to help my mom find one in the Lincoln Center area. She'll certainly be missed, and I extend my most heartfelt sympathies to Milt and the rest of the family on their loss.

We are so sad to learn of Lenore's passing and extend our sympathy to Milton, Judy and Stephen, our one-time neighbors and wonderful friends. Our hearts are with you in your grief.

Lenore's obituary brought back wonderful memories of her: I was 15, hired by Milt and Lenny (as she was called then) as an au pair ("mother's helper") for Stephen who was 4 at the time (this was before Judith was born). The family spent summers in West Yarmouth, Cape Cod, and this poor kid from Sunnyside shared two of those summers. I remember Lenny's exquisite style, her closet full of Pappagallos (which set MY standards forever), her generosity and kindness. I happily continued to babysit for Stephen until Judith was born and I went off to college. I've never forgotten the lovely, elegant, and gracious woman who taught me more than she could have realized. My sincere condolences to Milt, Stephen, and Judith. You were lucky to have her light in your lives--and I know it shines still in your memories of her.
