efron--eva, 66, died March 20, 2013 from pancreatic cancer. A lifelong educator, eva was committed to school library advocacy. She was in her tenth year as SLS supervisor at Nassau BOCES. A 21 year member of the ALA, eva was the chair of the AASL supervisors section, former affiliate assembly chair, secretary and delegate, AALS intellectual freedom & AAUP book selection committees. eva was also past president of NYLA/SSL, NYSCEA delegate & LILRC trustee. eva held degrees from St. John's MLS, Hofstra CAS, Adelphi MA, SUNY Stony Brook BA. She is survived by her father Hugo Kahn, her children Dawn Efron Landry, David Efron and Nancy Efron, and her grandson Marty Landry.
