MORRIS KRAMER Obituary

KRAMER--Morris J. A true New Yorker, eminent attorney, and loving father and grandfather passed away on April 19th, at the age of 71. Morris grew up in Bay Ridge, and went on to Dartmouth College and Harvard Law. A 40-year partner of Skadden, Arps, Morris was an international leader in mergers and acquisitions, working on many famous deals. He divided the late '80s between London and New York, and spent months in Berlin at the Treuhandanstalt in the newly unified German government. A longtime resident of Carnegie Hill, Morris read the complete works of Anthony Trollope and watched every New York sports game. He is survived by his two sons, Jeremy and Oliver, daughter-in-law Kaye, grandchildren Maxime, Jules, and Oscar, brother Stephen, and his second former-wife Nancy who went to every doctor's appointment. His intellect, humor, and generosity will be missed by all. Funeral Service: April 21, 1:15pm at Riverside Memorial Chapel. Memorial gifts in his name may be made to: Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Attn: Hugh B. Kelly. 633 Third Avenue, 28th Fl. New York, NY 10017.
