GEORGE RADIN Obituary

RADIN--George, age 82, a peaceful death on May 21st, 2013 in Agawam, Massachusetts. Son of Isadore and Sylvia, who pre-deceased him. Survived by his beloved wife Grace and devoted children Joshua, Daniel and Rachel. Loving grandfather to Chelsea Lawson and great- grandfather to Blaise. Graduate of Brooklyn College and CUNY with Masters Degrees in English Literature and Mathematics. George held the esteemed position of IBM Fellow and received the award of "Inventor of the Year" from the Intellectual Property Owner's Education Foundation. A devoted family man who touched the hearts of everyone he met, George was a philanthropist and patron of the arts. A first generation American, George's humble beginnings shaped his world view and his compassion for people from all walks of life. An astute and analytical mind, a lover of classical music and a fine cellist himself, George spent most of his years in the communities of Piermont and Grandview, alongside the Hudson River, which he loved. As George was a great lover of animals, in lieu of flowers, please contribute to Hi Tor Animal Center in Pomona, NY. Memorial Service is planned for the afternoon of Saturday, June 1st. George was a wonderful man who always lovingly welcomed me into his home and was so supportive of my life and career, so complimentary all the time! A lovely and brilliant guy who will be greatly missed. His children should be, and I know, are very proud of him.
