I've captured many images of Christina for many years, as the staff photographer for Joe Torre's Safe at Home, and at no time did I see on her face the pain and suffering she must have endured. Truly a strong and courageous woman.
I'm shocked and saddened, and very sorry for your loss.

What an amazing tribute to you on Sunday by Pierce, Tory and your family. You made quite an impact on many people. You were a true fighter till the end.. and yet you never said, why me? You would have been so proud of Pierce and Tory. They spoke with such confidence and maturity. An obvious trait from both you and Peter. I have so many wonderful and happy memories of our friendship and will cherish them forever. I only wish we would have grown old together. May my dearest Christina rest in peace. She will be in my heart and mind forever. I miss her everyday... its very strange not to be able to talk to her each and every day. But for me, the fact that the suffering and pain is over for her gets me by...

I never met Christina but have the privilege to have Pierce, her son, as my friend. It is obvious what a special woman she was when you meet her children. Her legacy will live in them. I am grateful to her for having been such an amazing mother to him and his sister.

I only met Christina once, and although she only knew me as her son's friend, she still offered to take care of my cat while I was out of town. It is with great sadness that I learned of Christine's passing. I will never forget her beauty and carefree spirit from childhood vacations in Canada.
