'Dear Marianne, you will be truly missed'... Marianne was a dear friend, whom I met through the Palm Beach Chaîne des Rôtisseurs. We were instantly, fast friends, despite our age difference. I loved her style and mannerism, quick wit and stern disciple. I spent time with Marianne whenever possible, when visiting Palm Beach. And was lucky enough to spend New Years Eve, with her, a few years back. We checked up on each other and spoke of our families. She was loved and admired, by my children and myself. A light in my life has extinguished;a light in my heart, forever burns. Much Love, Laurel, Stephan and Denise Jardin-Rotolante

I just learned today of Marianne's passing. My heartfelt condolences to her family in whom she took much joy.
I knew Marianne through her participation in the Holocaust Survivors' Speakers bureau for the Center for Holocaust and Human Rights Education at Florida Atlantic University. She spoke at many schools in Palm Beach and Broward Counties, inspired thousands of students and their teachers with her own Holocaust story and the story of Raul Wallenburg. She attended all the Center's events honoring our Survivors and our outstanding Holocaust educators. Every year she joined other survivors at Meleluca Elementary School for their annual May commemoration of Yom Ha Shoa and celebration of their Holocaust study.
These mostly Haitian-American students felt respected by her presence and she made a difference in their lives.
She frequently checked in with me at the Center to cheer us on and to keep up our friendship.

I will miss her sorely.

Marianne is a calalyst in my life. My husband and son were very fond of her, too. We were connected from the moment we met; discussing how some of the party goers at Four Seasons didn't get the dress code. Her spunk, wisdom, tenacity, humor, heart and love are things that made her so special. I cherish the visits and time we shared. All who knew her are better for it.

Mrs Balsone was a recent friend, but an extraordinary woman and friend. She was blessed with a heart full of light and a style and panache beyond words. I will miss her dearly and remember her fondly. May she rest in peace and know that she has touched another person to the core.

My Memories of your Mom,Grandmom are filled with knowledge, Fun and a lot of Compassion. She was and is an inspiration to me of a Life well lived. Through our conversations over the years, about forty or more of them I learned to live life on my terms, treat people as I would like to be treated and how to let elegance and class be my calling card. I feel as if I know each and every part of her Family, I know how much she Loved and was so proud of all of you. My thoughts and Prayers are with you today. Rest In Peace Dear Duchess, I Loved you too.
