ELIANE REINHOLD Obituary
Writer, composer, musician, photographer, editor, creative force, Eliane Reinhold passed away unexpectedly on March 29, 2016. Eliane emigrated with her family from Belgium in 1939. Eliane was a great friend to many people, including her extended family, and others in the New York arts community. She had a great spirit and her tremendous capacity for generosity touched people from all walks of life. She charmed us all. Eliane was a classically trained pianist who studied in Paris with Nadia Boulanger. She attended the Yale Music School, graduating with a Fine Arts degree in 1958. Eliane is survived by her two sons, Fred and Michael, her daughters- in-law, Kathy and Sue, grandchildren, Arley and Eva, and by her devoted Yorkshire terrier, Desiree. Services will be held at 11:15am on Friday, April 1, 2016 at Riverside Memorial Chapel on 76th St. and Amsterdam Avenue. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Alaria Chamber Ensemble at www.alaria.org

I am so sorry I never knew my cousin, Eliane, but I found her on the family tree that David Hostyk created of the Reinhold family. My father, Bertram Reinhold, was also in the diamond business. I knew her uncles Aaron and Hank--never met her father but did meet her mother . I extend my sympathies. Lynne Reinhold Irvine
