SOLOMON GOLOMB Obituary
The officers, board and staff of the American Technion Society (ATS) mourn the loss of our friend and supporter Dr. Solomon Golomb, of La Canada, CA. A member of the ATS Southern California Board of Directors and the Technion Board of Governors, Dr. Golomb was awarded a Technion Honorary Doctorate in 2011, and was a frequent visiting professor. A University Professor and Distinguished Professor of Electrical Engineering and Mathematics at the University of Southern California, he held the Andrew and Erna Viterbi Chair in Communications. He was recognized for his pioneering achievements with the National Medal of Science in 2013.
