There are too many memories for this space. One I would like to share and that is how we met. The Women Fly Fishers had decided to convene a "meeting" in Alaska and men were to be included! My husband and I were invited by mutual friends. When we arrived I overheard the staff talking excitedly that Merlin Olson was to be coming, I of course was very excited about the prospect of meeting a famous person, but then I met the real star, Merlin Nelson, and was not disappointed. Years of fishing fun with Janet and Merlin followed, from the Beaverkill, to the Deschutes River to Poronui, to Dorset, to the Middle Fork and back to Alaska. We love you Merlin.
