HE was an honest, hard working individual with a very good ethical standard that he lived by. He was a pleasure to work with and a wonderful person.

Uncle Roy was an incredible man of God. The way he lived his life on earth was an inspiration to us all. He was kind, generous, selfless, and had a great sense of humor. He will be missed dearly, but his legacy and spirit will live on by those of us who were blessed to know him. My prayers go out to Mary during this time, who anyone can tell, Roy cherished and loved deeply. I miss you, Uncle Roy, but I'm sure you are partying like crazy with Jesus! Thank you for being a part of our lives!

I had the blessing to meet Roy personally a few times. At ECBC, his home and elsewhere. On all those occasions Roy was a man who knew Jesus and after God's heart. He accepted me as I am, welcomed me, and served me humbly as a follower of Christ. His faith and identity was in Christ Jesus. Thank you Lord for allowing me to know brother Roy. We will see you again brother before our Lord.

As we commit Roy into God's hands, he was a pioneer in the Chinese American Community. From being a WWII veteran and life member of th American legion, to PHD in the NYC Dept of Mental Health, A mentor and Spiritual Leader to generations of Christians in ECBC. Wow, he really made a mark in many people's lives including mine...

Very sorry to hear of Roy's passing. I worked with him for many years at the Department of Mental Health. He was very dedicated to helping New Yorkers in emergency situations. I also remember the many lunches we had in Chinatown together. RIP Roy
