SNIDER--Donald.

October 16, 1943 - October 17, 2016, lived life in his own way with his own brand of skill, wisdom and humor. A cum laude, phi beta kappa graduate of New York University then summa cum laude graduate of Harvard Law School, he went on to become a well-respected litigator and managing partner of three separate prestigious NYC firms concentrating in real estate and property law. Author of numerous articles in various Law Journals, advisor to American Law Institute, co-author of "Casner & Leach: Cases and Text Real Property" (second edition), and frequently requested speaker of the Practicing Law Institute across the country. Fifteen years ago he opened his own practice, which allowed him to spend more time with his devoted wife of over 50 years, Elaine Daniels Snider. He was the beloved father of Jackie Geller and Jordan Snider and the amazing and doting "Poppy" of Jessica and Melanie Geller and Emily and Eli Snider and the protective brother of Jaymie Sharabi. He enjoyed golf, worshiped the sun, loved his distinctive cars and wished to "never to grow up." His most loyal companion was his collie, Tigger. To all those who met him, he was brilliant, sharp and had a unique way with words, both oral and written. He was charismatic, had a wry sense of humor and although he was feared by some, he was loved by many and respected by all. Private services and burial were held at Montefiore Cemetery, Queens, NY on October 20th.
