RONALD STREET Obituary

STREET--Ronald E.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art mourns the loss of a valued colleague and friend, Ron Street, who was the Museum's Manager of 3D Imaging and Modeling. Ron was a Renaissance man - an artist and technical master whose talents and skills brought 3D scanning and imaging techniques into the mainstream of museum practice. He supervised The Met's molding studio for many of his more than 30 years at the Museum, and was called upon for advice and collaborations by institutions around the world. Ron's innovative work and generous spirit will be greatly missed. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his wife, our colleague Carmen Bambach, and to their entire family. I attended the 25 year club gathering last Thursday, June 5, 2025 and found out that Ron had passed. It was terrible news. I know it´s been years since his passing, but I didn´t know. I´m sorry Carmen. I´m sorry Met Museum and I am grateful that I knew him.

My condolence to the family of Ronald Street. He contributed to the enjoyment of many of the lives of our students. With 3D imaging Art, came alive and was more enjoyable to the students, when they visited the museum. Ronald will be greatly missed. I pray the family find comfort knowing that God will give you thoughts of comfort, peace and hope for the future. Jeremiah 29:11

Ron,I feel lucky to have had you in my life. We spent many memorable times together, but what I truly will remember you for is your friendship, kindness, and just being there for me. I can never come to grips why people like you are taken from us,I don't have the answers. Then I think why is it when you go to a rose garden you pick the most beautiful rose to take home,I guess God picked the most beautiful rose of all. I will truly miss you Ron. I love you,Kenny
