LESLIE POLLACK Obituary
1933 - 2017, died peacefully in his home in Bedford, NY after a long complex illness. His integrity, generosity, and loyalty are his legacy for his wife, Yvonne, his children, Jonathan Pollack, Jennifer Reiner, and Fredrica Ford and his grandchildren, Annie, Gabriel, Joseph, Samuel, Michael, Hank, Abraham, and Scarlett. He was an active leader in Jewish, humanitarian, and artistic causes. After Harvard Business School, his long career on Wall Street was dedicated to the financial well-being of his clients. He made his mark writing a weekly newsletter as head of research and became the director of Shearson Management and then a partner at Neuberger Berman. Leslie's passion was as a competitive tennis player; his tennis skills spanned junior ranking to the Yale tennis team and onto senior tennis, winning a national USTA gold ball for father and daughter tennis. His dry sense of humor and way with words will leave his family and friends smiling. Service will be at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah, NY on Sunday, April 16 at noon. The family will receive friends at his home on Sunday from 4-7pm and Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 2-6pm. Donations in Leslie's honor to HIAS, helping sustain immigrants, will be appreciated: 411 Fifth Ave., suite 1006, New York, NY 10016.

How I found the death notice is almost surreal. I live in Milwaukee and subscribe to the NY Times, and was paging through the paper ... and by chance found the death notice.
Les hired me to work in the Research Dept. at Reynolds along time ago ... in 1967. I was totaling lacking in the credentials needed at the time. However, Les took a chance on me based on my combat experience in Vietnam. I remember him as a friend, a mentor, and an altogether fine person. May he rest in peace.
