J. RUMBOUGH Obituary

RUMBOUGH--J. Wright, Jr. of Glen Head, NY died peacefully on April 9, 2017. He was born in New York City on March 27, 1930. Educated at Potomac School, Buckley School, St. Marks School, and graduated from Yale University in 1952. He served in the U.S. Army as a First Lieutenant and worked in investment advisory business. He was a partner at Hoppin Watson, Inc., and worked at Clark Dodge, Kidder Peabody, Tucker Anthony, and Wellington Shields. He served as a Director for Project Orbis, The Whitehall Foundation, The Foundation for American Dance at The City Center for the Joffrey Ballet of NY, Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children, Nassau County, Yale Alumni Association of Long Island, and was a Former Trustee of Eta Chapter of Zeta Psi. Wright is survived by his wife of 65 years, Melissa Moffett, sons, Jeb and Jennifer of Vero Beach, FL and Douglas and Laura of Cornwall, VT, four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. His passions were fishing, music, family, friends, and his dogs.
