Dear Frances,
I'm so very sorry to hear this sad news. Robert was a great man and a great architect.

Dear Frances; I am totally shocked and incredibly saddened to read just now of Robert's passing. I am so sorry we had lost touch over the years and in point of fact was hoping to see you and him in July - alas, now not to be. I carry such fond and strong memories of him in Rome during our Fulbright year and those will live on. With my warmest and strongest embrace to you in this sad hour.
