THOMAS QUINN Obituary
Fordham Law Professor, died August 1, 2017 in West Palm Beach, FL following a long illness. Born in Astoria, NY on August 5, 1924. A prolific author, he was a nationally recognized authority on the UCC and wrote "Quinn's Commentary and Digest on the Uniform Commercial Code", commonly known as "Quinn on the Code" in addition to "Quinn's Forms and Practice Under the UCC" and "Modern Banking Forms". He also maintained two monthly newsletters: UCC Law Letter and the Banking Law Letter. Professor Quinn was a strong proponent of social justice and social welfare and served as Legal Counsel to Fordham University's Social Interest Resource Center. He was the first occupant of the Sidney C. Norris Chair of Law and its dedication to public service. He was a devout Catholic who cared deeply for his students and family and the well-being of all people. He was loved and admired by all who knew him.
