NORMAN SCHOENFELD Obituary

SCHOENFELD--Norman P.

Born in New York City, May 22, 1929, by his account at Yankee Stadium, died August 15, 2017, at home with family at his side. He attended public school in the Bronx, New York University -- the Heights, and Harvard Law school, class of 1952. He served in the United States Army's legal corp, JAG, in Trieste. Norman enjoyed a long and highly respected career in real estate finance, co-authored with Professor Frank Parker of Boston College, a well reviewed book, Modern Real Estate Finance. He taught real estate courses at New York university, and wrote and had published numerous timely articles in prominent real estate publications. Most important to him and his family, he was a loving husband to Ileen (Grossman), doting father to Susan Harrington and William Schoenfeld, beloved father-in-law to Andrew Harrington and Mika Minohara, adored grandfather to Alexandra, Nicola, Cocoro and Sora. he was the cheerleader of the success of his family and friends and master of the joyous smile and enormous laugh. He truly was loved by all who knew him. Funeral service on Friday, August 18, 9:30am at Plaza Jewish Community Chapel.
