Robert Zankel Obituary

ZANKEL--Robert Thomas. The Skidmore College community is greatly saddened by the loss of R. Thomas Zankel, son of our late trustee and benefactor Arthur Zankel. We cherish our deep connections to the Zankel family, and we extend our heartfelt condolences to all of the family members, including Judith Zankel; Thomas' brother Kenneth (Class of 1982) and sister-in-law Anna; his brother James (Class of 1992) and sister-in-law Pia (Class of 1992) and their son Luca; his brother Mark and sister-inlaw Susan and their children Maura and Andrew; his uncles Martin Zankel and Jeffrey Zankel; and his cousin Harun (Class of 2001). I am shocked to hear of Tommy's passing. Though I have only spoken to him once in about 17 years we did spend a ton of time together doing what we did as teenagers, which was listen to music, go to concerts, and just hang out, etc... We always had a good time! He and I were very good friends for sometime before I moved to Chicago, and now Miami. I am sorry for his loss to all his family and friends and will be thinking about all the wonderful times we had. Tommy is someone I will remember all my life. Wherever you are keep Rocking on!
