McLEOD, Norman Colin CMG. BE, FEngNZ., Capt 2 NZEF Reg. No. 225327. Former Commissioner of Works. On 6 April 2018, aged 96. Beloved husband of Ella for 65 years. Loved and respected father and father-in-law of Jan and Euan Galloway, Rod and Joy McLeod, Heather and Steven Northover. Wise Grandpa to Alastair and Kim, Richard and Gretchen, Malcolm and Lynsey Galloway; Scott McLeod and Justine Allan, Annabelle-Kate and Blair Wilkinson, Evie McLeod; Hannah, Blake and Ella Northover. Great Grandpa of Isobel, Hamish, Angus, Noah, Felix, Otis, Ella and Sophie; Harrison; Lauren, Madeleine, Amelia and Lachlan; Tahlia and Harley. Dear McLeod family
On behalf of the wider Lithgow family: the late Margaret and Bob,their children David,Andrew,Alison,Stuart and Robert,their families,children and grandchildren I would like to express my condolences on the passing of your father Colin.He was a wonderful and kind friend to our family especially our parents.The daily telephone calls between my father and Colin were very special as they discussed in depth the woes of Wellington and the world.The words that Colin spoke at their funerals are certainly to be remembered.
Our thoughts and best wishes on this sad closing of an era occasion but what a fulfilled 96 years which shoul be celebrated too.
