JOE HENRY WELDON

MR. JOE HENRY WELDON Mr. Joe Henry Weldon, beloved husband of Bernella Scroggins Weldon, was born May 30, 1939 and went to be with his Heavenly Father March 3, 2013. Joe was a life-long resident of Tallassee and engaged in construction for many years. He was a loving Father and Grand- father and friend to many. He is survived by children, Stephen Scott Weldon (Nancy) and Julia Claire Benson; grand- children, Ashley Taylor, Amanda Weldon, Benjamin Joe Weldon, Halen Weldon, Braxton McDonald, Zachery Meadows, Emily Weldon, Jackson Weldon; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Oliver Wendell Weldon, Jr. (Joy), Jerol Weldon (Debra), Billy Weldon (Beverly), several nieces and nephews and faithful friend, Jesse Wisener. He was preceded in death by a brother, James Weldon; two sons, Mark Weldon and Joel Weldon and his parents, Wendell Weldon, Sr. and Marie Weldon. Joe was much loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 5 at 11:00 am from the Chapel at Linville Memorial Funeral Home with Minister Wilbur Bass and Chaplain Paul Greger officiating.
