 MRS. ANNIE LOIS AVERY The funeral service for Annie Lois Avery, 81, of Opelika, AL, will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 13, 2012, at Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church, with interment in Garden Hills Cemetery, Rev. David Stallion will be officiating. Mrs. Avery, who passed away Saturday, October 6, 2012, at Kindred Hospital in Atlanta, GA, was born May 14, 1931 in Macon County, AL. Public viewing will be Friday, from 2:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. The family will receive guest from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Mrs. Avery will be at the church one hour prior to the services. Survivors include: husband, George Avery, Jr. of Opelika, AL; two daughters, Deloris Avery Summers and Mary Avery (Sharmain) Brooks both of Opelika, AL; two sons, George (Darlean) Avery III of Phenix City, AL and Lonny Avery of Opelika, AL; one sister, Mamie King of Opelika, AL; seven grandchildren, Dion Nowlin, Nakia Kendrick, Shamoray Brooks all of Opelika, AL, Shawn Avery, Ebony Avery both of Dayton, OH, Chase Summers and Corwin Summers both of Auburn, AL; brother-in-law, Charles (Frankie) Avery of Opelika, AL; two sisters-in-law, Betty Avery of Opelika, AL and Mary Frances Jackson of Atlanta, GA; six nieces, Eula Walker, Bessie Verilla Whitaker, Dorothy Core, Alberta Fears, Katherine Kindred and Mary Lockett; three nephews, Willie Clifford Reese, Robert Reese and Benjamin Reese; a host of great-grandchildren, great-nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
