Uncle Mal. I have always admired the spirit of a leader that was always so evident. Even though I knew little about your accomplishments until I became a young adult, I somehow sensed that you were a man to be admired and respected. Growing up with only a few uncles, I'm so grateful that you were one of them. You were and always will be a model of the life hard work and vision can provide. I was a classmate of Malchester my senior year at St. Lucy's Academy in Syracuse, NY. Although I had not seen him for a number of years, I have great memories of him as a classmate and teammate and friend.
To his family, I know this is a time of incredible grief and sorrow. But, somehow when the saddness subsides a bit, you will be comforted by the wonderful memories of the good times you shared together and the certain knowledge that his love for each of you...is eternal.
