ODESSA Elizabeth Josephine Joiner, 84, of Odessa, died Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015, in Odessa. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home. She was born in Paris, Ark. She was a homemaker. She was Catholic. SURVIVORS Husband, Billy Frank Joiner; daughters, Christine Joiner Michaelson of Riverside, Calif., and Brenda Joiner Smith; sons, Robert Joiner of Argyle, Mike Joiner of Crane and Menard, Alan Joiner of Midland and Tommy Joiner of Odessa; brothers, John Spieler of Oceanside, Calif., and Jo Bert Spieler of Brawley, Calif.; sister, Joan Reynolds of Kerrville; 13 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.

Joiner, Elizabeth Josephine  
ODESSA Elizabeth Josephine Joiner, age 84, of Odessa, left this life on January 17, 2015 surrounded by her loved ones. Elizabeth was born on July 27, 1930 in Paris, Arkansas to Alberta Blevins Spieler and John Matthew Spieler. She attended St. Scholastica Monastery in Fort Smith Arkansas and completed her education at Brawley Union High School in 1948. She met the love of her life, Billy Frank Joiner, in Brawley California and they married November 4, 1948. They moved their family to Odessa, Texas in 1978 where Elizabeth was a homemaker, well known for her cakes, and active in St. Mary's and St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Churches. She is preceded in death by her parents, Alberta and John Spieler, brother-in-law BL Reynolds, daughter, Linda Joiner Bell and grandchildren, Sherry Ann Marie Michaelson and Michael Alan Michaelson. Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Billy Frank Joiner and six children, Christine Joiner Michaelson of Riverside, California, Robert Joiner (Linda) of Argyle, Texas, Mike Joiner (DiAnna) of Crane/Menard, Texas, Alan Joiner (Denise Howell) of Midland, Texas, Brenda Joiner Smith (Don), Tommy Joiner (Sara Stacks) of Odessa, Texas. Brothers John Spieler (Sheryll Ann) of Oceanside, California, Jo Bert Spieler (Pat) of Brawley, California and sister Joan Reynolds of Kerrville, Texas, 13 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Elosia Vasquez for her years of loving care and companionship. A Rosary will be at 7:00 pm, Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 22nd at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Odessa, Monsignor Bridges officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Michael Joiner, Robert Joiner, Alan Joiner, Tommy Joiner, Brandon Wilson, Stetson Joiner and Travis Landry Fisher. Donations may be made to the West Texas Food Bank, P.O. Box 4242, Odessa, Texas 79761 or to St. Scholastica Monastery, P.O. Box 3489, Fort Smith, Arkansas 72913-3489. Arrangements are under the direction of Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home. ODESSA Daniel R. Juarez, 61, of Odessa, died Sunday, Jan. 18, 2015, in Odessa. Funeral services are scheduled at 10 a.m. Saturday at Martinez Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Partain officiating. Burial will be at Ector County Cemetery. Arrangements are by Martinez Funeral Home. He was born in Mexico. SURVIVORS Wife, Annabel Verdoza Juarez; daughter, Diane Juarez; and sons, Daniel Juarez Jr., Christopher Juarez and Paul Juarez.

ODESSA Daniel Ramos Juarez, 61, of Odessa, passed away on January 18, 2015 in Odessa, TX. Visitation will be 5pm – 9pm Thursday and 9am – 9pm Friday, January 22 & 23, 2015 at Martinez Funeral Home Chapel. Service will be held at 10am Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Martinez Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Wayne Partain officiating. Burial will follow at Ector Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Martinez Funeral Home. Daniel was born in Acuna, Mexico to Maria Luisa Juarez and Esteban Ramos on February 23, 1953. He married Annabel V. Juarez on January 22, 1976 in Odessa, TX. He was the owner of Daniels Appliances for over 35 years. He was well known in the community. Daniel is preceded in death by his parents. Daniel is survived by his wife Annabel V. Juarez, daughter Diana Juarez-Berdoza from Phoenix, AZ, sons Daniel Juarez Jr., Christoper Juarez, Paul Juarez-Berdoza, Danielle Juarez, Emily Juarez, Rubi Juarez, Christoper Juarez Jr., Madison Juarez. He has 12 brothers and sisters. Pallbearers will be Paul Juarez-Berdoza, Daniel Juarez Jr., Christoper Juarez, Pablo Juarez, Arturo Juarez, Gamaliel Ramos.
