ODESSA Floyd (Ed) Dunn passed away on Easter, April 20, 2014, at his home, where he wanted to be, after a lengthy illness, with his family at his side. We mourn his passing and celebrate his life. He touched all our lives in so many ways, as husband, daddy, papa, pepaw and friend.
He was born in Enid, Oklahoma, on July 11, 1933, to Floyd and Flora Dunn.
He was married to his loving wife of 62 years, Lily Dunn. He retired from Texas Electric after 35 years of faithful service. He loved fishing, going to casinos, playing bingo, football, western movies, books and a good joke. He was a charter member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where he served as an elder and was on different committees.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Flora Dunn; brother, Vernon; and a son, Randy.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lily; son, Rickey; daughter, Roxanna and her husband Eddie Williams; sisters, Carolyn Walker and Margaret Matlock; grandchildren, Justin Dunn, Randi Lacey and her husband Robert, Steven Williams and Crystal Williams; ten great grandchildren that he loved dearly; and bunches of nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are with Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home. A memorial service will be on Thursday, April 24, 2014, at 10 am at Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Reverend Jimmy Braswell officiating.
In lieu of flower contributions, donations may be made to Cumberland Presbyterian Church or Home Hospice.
