Jane Annette Daiss(1936 - 2014)

KATY Jane Annette "Janie" Daiss of Katy, Texas, passed away Friday, March 14, 2014.
Janie was born in Lyman, Nebraska, on July 13, 1936, the daughter of Fred & Viola Strecker.
Jack Daiss & Janie were married on June 29, 1956, in Torrington, Wyoming at the Methodist Church and were happily married for 57 years.
Jane went to the University of Wyoming for 2 years and received a 2-year teaching degree in 1956, which was standard in Wyoming at the time. After their marriage, Jack and Janie moved three times while Jack was in the oil business.
Jane had three beautiful daughters born in Wyoming. Shelley, the oldest, was born in 1957, Suzanne was born in 1959, and Jackie was born in 1961, deceased on May 16, 2012. Jack and Janie were transferred to Houston in 1983 and retired in Katy in 1989.
Janie was a loving mother to her children and had a generous, loving spirit. She helped several ladies with disabilities at the church in Odessa. Janie had a joyous spirit and enjoyed the company of her friends. Janie read the Bible every day and put the Lord first in her life, followed by her family.
Survivors include her husband, Jack Daiss; daughter, Shelly and her husband Mark Weaver; daughter, Suzanne and her husband Kelly Krietsch. Janie is survived also by 5 grandchildren: Holly Weaver, Joshua Weaver, John Weaver, Kendra Krietsch & Noah Krietsch, as well as by 3 great-grandchildren: Jaylee, Brayson & Barrett Weaver. Family survivors are Lorraine Krieger, Darlene Swayze, Violet Baker, Dorothy & Ray Lansing and Jan Strecker.
