Ruben E. Mora

MIDLAND Ruben E. Mora, 64, of Midland, passed away on February 24, 2014, in Odessa, TX.
A visitation with a Rosary will be held at 7:00 PM Wednesday, February 26, 2014, at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel and Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 PM Thursday, February 27, 2014, at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Midland, TX, with Father Francis OnyeKozuru officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home.
Ruben E. Mora was born in El Paso, TX, to Victor L. Mora & Alicia Miller on July 7, 1949. He married Stella Mora on July 3, 1971, in Odessa, TX. He owned and operated an insulation subcontracting company in Midland, TX, for 25 years. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and served in Special Forces in the Army. He entered in October 1966, and was honorably discharged in May 1968. He was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal.
His father, Victor L. Mora, and his mother, Alicia Miller, precede Ruben E. Mora in death.
Ruben E. Mora is survived by his wife, Stella Grace Cardona Mora; his children, Ruben E. Mora, Jr., Michelle Mora-Gonzales, Ruby Mora, Eric Mora, and Victoria Mora; 9 grandchildren – Trevor, LeAnn, Christina, Nikolaus, Christopher, Kimberley, Kaitlyn, Brooke & Madeline; his brothers, Victor and Carlos Mora; and sister, Estela Sanchez.
Pallbearers will be Ruben E. Mora, Jr., Eric Mora, Tom Selman, Tom Selman, Jr., P.J. Gallardo, & Carlos Gonzales.
The family of Ruben E. Mora wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Hospice House in Odessa, Dr. Dar, and the Texas Tech Physicians at Medical Center Hospital.
