LAKE BROWNWOOD M.S. "Bud" Pettit passed away May 13, 2012 at his home on Lake Brownwood, Tx. Viewing was held at Heartland Funeral Home 303 Early Blvd. Early, Texas, from 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, 5/17/12. Services will be held at First Baptist Church, Lake Brownwood, 7170 Hwy 279 Brownwood, Texas, at 2:00 PM on Friday, May 18, 2012. Bud was born 1/29/30 in Seminole, Texas. He graduated from high school in Denver City, Texas, and then joined the US Air Force, where he was a machinist stationed at Edwards AFB in California and Patrick AFB in Florida. He married his wife, Joyce, on 7/3/54. He worked as a machinist for several shops in Midland and Odessa from 1954-1975, after which he co-founded the CP&E Inc. machine Shop in Casper, Wy. He and his wife retired in 1992 and moved to Lake Brownwood.|
He was preceded in death by his father, Damon Slater Pettit; mother, Lois Pettit Hester; wife, Joyce Pettit and his brother, Marvin Pettit.
He is survived by his son, Lynn Pettit and wife Beverly; son, Mark Pettit and wife MariAnn, and their daughters Brittany and BriAnna. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the
