MONAHANS In the emergency room of Ward Memorial Hospital, Tuesday, 29 July 2014, 5:15 p.m., in the presence of his wife of 65 years and hospital staff members, the soul of William Clifford Goble, Sr. quietly "slipped the surly bonds of earth" to see the face of God.|
Cliff was the good and faithful husband of Hilma Ann Jacobi, beloved father of William Clifford Goble, Jr., revered grandfather of Patric Jacobi Goble, son of James Luther Goble and Edith Elaine Collings, both deceased, brother of Mildred Goble Earp of Crane, Texas, uncle of Carlton Pierce also of Crane and Tinita and Ronnie Cooper of Imperial, Texas. Also, three grand nieces and two grand nephews.
He was born in Best, Reagan County, Texas on 21 August 1926. Cliff was a veteran of World War II and served three years in the United States Navy as a signalman aboard the LSV 1 Catskill.
Services will be held at St. John Catholic Church, 5th and Ike, Monahans, at 2:00 p.m. Friday, 01 August 2014.
Pall Bearers: William Clifford Goble, Jr., Cobi Goble, Ronnie Cooper, Dan Kernaghan, Michael Williams, and Edwin Fulfer.
