ODESSA In The Loving Arms of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is to be found Our Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Dear Niece. Josefa "Chopo" Luna Alvarado, 61, of Odessa, passed away Saturday, October 6, 2012, at the Home Hospice House Facility here in Odessa. She was born March 19, 1951 in Alpine, Texas, to Miguel Luna and Liandra Sanchez. She was a Christian Catholic and a homemaker. She is preceded in death by Parents, Miguel and Liandra Luna, Husband: Manuel Lopez; Brothers, Arturo Luna, Mike Sanchez, Lupe Olivas; and Sister. Lorina Luna Lara. Ms. Alvarado is survived by Sons; Robert Galindo (Luz) of Odessa, Nick Lopez (Dominga) of Odessa; Daughters, Nancy Galindo of Odessa, Rosemary Alvarado (Abelardo) of Odessa, Lucy Lopez (Joe) of Odessa, Melissa Alvarado (Andres) of Odessa, Bonnie Luna (David)of Odessa; Brothers, Eusebio Luna and Manuel Luna both of Odessa, Mike Luna, and Ruben Luna both of Dallas, Jesse Luna of Grand Prairie, Mauricio Luna of Houston; Sisters, Teresa Alvarado of Grand Prairie, Margie Medina of Dallas, Alicia Norwood of California, 22 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren; Companion: Jose C. Gallegos of Odessa; a special and dear best friend considered as her Sister: Delia Sotelo of Odessa; and a host of Aunts and Uncles: including Leonarda & Louie Bustos, Felicitas Luna all of Odessa, and Uncle: Demencio Luna of Alpine, Tx, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. We, the Alvarado Family, would like to take this time and express our utmost sincere gratitude to each and every one of you for all your prayers, floral, food, offering and especially your presence with us during this most difficult time. May God Bless You All Abundantly. Pallbearers will be Isreal, Nick, Abelardo, Mike, Jaime, Robert Ray, Raymond, and Ricardo. A Rosary will be recited at 7pm Thursday, October 11, 2012, at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be celebrated at 9:45am Friday, October 12, 2012, at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joseph Uecker officiating. Interment to follow at Ector County Cemetery, Los Angeles Section. Services are by Odessa Funeral Home.
