Thomas Jesse Shamy Jr. Obituary
AUSTIN Thomas Jesse Shamy, Jr., age 39, passed away Saturday, June 22nd, 2013, in Austin, TX, from complications caused by dialysis.

He was born November 28, 1973, in El Paso, TX. He is survived by his parents, Thomas Jesse Shamy, Sr. and Brien and Tommie McClane.

Tom grew up in Odessa and attended Permian High School, Class of 1992. He also attended Odessa College and Austin Community College. "Shamrok," as he was known to his friends, had also recently graduated from the Chris Cole Rehabilitation Center for the Blind, and was an active member of the Austin community and Gateway Church. He was pursuing his certification as a substance abuse counselor and had helped many people in his life who struggled with addiction. As a LifeSmart 360 representative, Tom thrived as a personal businessman. He will be remembered for his big heart and positive attitude. Even in the face of adversity, he was a success in life.

In addition to numerous grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews, and nieces, Tom is survived by his brothers: Paul Shamy, Joseph Shamy, and Samson McClane; and sisters: Jennifer McClane Faulkner and Nicole Shamy.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, June 27th, 2PM, at Odessa Christian Faith Center, 8860 North Andrews Highway, 79765. Flowers can also be sent to OCFC. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the at https://donations.diabetes.org/.
