ODESSA William Wiley Aust, age 97, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2013, at Abilene Regional Medical Center in Abilene, TX.|
He was born July 6, 1915, to Jim William and Connie Louise (Reeves) Aust in Montague County, TX. He married Ester Mae Owen on July 9, 1938, in Ozark, AR, and later served during World War II in the U.S. Army Air Corp. He was a heavy duty mechanic for Plains Machinery and retired after 24 years of service. He was a member of First United Pentecostal Church in Odessa, where for 25 years he served on the board of directors, as well as was head usher for many years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Ester, his daughter Delores, his son Eldon and sister Bessie Aust.
He is survived by his son Darry Leon Aust and wife Kathy of Sagus, CA, daughters Barbara Jean Ross and husband Gaylord of Arlington, TX, and Carolyn Gale Johnston and husband Leon of Abilene, TX, and sister Leta Mae Parrish of College Station, as well as eleven grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Family visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 15, 2013, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home in Odessa.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at First United Pentecostal Church with Rev. Terry Pugh officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Preston Ross, Gaylon Ross, Michael Johnston, Keith Johnston, Jody Johnston, and Ronnie Brewer.
Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home of Odessa.
