ODESSA James Ash, 69, of Odessa, passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2010, at his residence. |
He was born June 27, 1941, in McKinney, Texas. He was an Army veteran. He retired from UPS after 25 years of service. He was a member of the Teamsters Union.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur Lee and Mary Irene (Waggoner) Ash.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Susie Murphy of Odessa; daughters, Brenda George and husband Shane of Forney, Texas, and Glenda Schrecengost and husband Ethan of Odessa; brother, Dub Ash and wife Darlene of Amarillo; sisters, Barbara Johnson and husband Don of Willard, Utah, Nancy Hyde and husband King of Odessa, Lynn Risinger of Colorado and Dorothy Brashear and husband Chris of Millersview, Texas; three grandchildren, Ashlan George, Cayson and Cayden Schrecengost; numerous nieces, nephews and lots of friends, including best friend, Willie Vasquez.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, November 26, 2010, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home with the Rev. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Open visitation from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday.
