Demetrio Alvarez, at the age of 66, passed away on Oct. 4, 2011 at Harris Methodist Hospital in Ft. Worth, Texas.
He was born December 22, 1944 in El Mulato, Mcp. Ojinaga, Chihuahua Mexico to Jose Angel and Paula Jimemez Alvarez. He was a laborer in the construction industry and a Christian Catholic. He united in marriage to the love of his life Pascula Rodriguez here in Odessa.
He is preceded in death by parents, Jose Angel and Paula Jimenez Alvarez; and a brother, Ramon Alvarez.
He is survived by his Loving wife, Pascuala R. Alvarez of Odessa; sons, Demetrio Alvarez Jr. (Marina) of Stephenville and Raymond Alvarez (Mary) of Odessa; daughters, Maribel Huerta (Carlos) of Ft. Worth, Elsie Alvarez and Jose Saldierna of Odessa; brothers, Jose L Ramirez, Jesus Loria and Ramon Alvarez, all of Mexico, Ricardo Jimenez of San Francisco, California, and Ramon Alvarez; sisters, Sabina A Ramirez, Juana Ramirez and Rosa L Ramirez, all of Mexico, Maria L Alvarez and Monica Armedariz, both of Odessa; 10 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.

A Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, 2011 at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel.
Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today, Friday Oct. 7, 2011, at St Joseph's Catholic Church with the Reverend Serafin Avenedo officiating.
Burial will follow at Ector County Cemetery (Los Angeles Section).
