ODESSA Teodolo Orozco Muñiz, age 76, of Odessa, passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at Deerings Nursing Home in Odessa. He was born in Chihuahua, Mexico on April 10, 1935 to the late Ignacio Muñiz Barrera and Catalina Orozco Muñiz. He grew up on a small ranch in Chihuahua and then farmed when he grew up. He also worked as a floor hand for Basic Energy.
Teodolo worked hard and taught his children his work ethic. He was a good man who loved his children and grandchildren very much.
He is survived by four sons: Martin Muñiz and wife Eva and Ramon Muñiz and wife Carmen, all of Odessa, Alfonzo Muniz and wife Carmen and Gerardo Muñiz and wife Anavel, all of Chihuahua, MX; four sisters: Eusevia Muñiz and husband Miguel of El Paso, Rafaela Muñiz of Denver, Colo., Anita Reyes and husband Sigala of El Paso and Mercedez Muñiz of Chihuahua, MX; three brothers: Cruz Muñiz and wife Graciela of Odessa, Ignacio Muñiz and wife Vickie of El Paso and Jose Muñiz and wife Consuelo of Denton; and twelve grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at Acres West Funeral Chapel at 1:00 PM Saturday, March 31, 2012. Interment will follow at Los Angeles Garden of Ector County Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel and condolences to the family may be sent at acreswestfuneral.com.
