ODESSA Joe Alan Chambers, 52, of Odessa, passed away on Thursday, April 26, 2012, at his residence. He was born in Odessa to Pete and Barbara Chambers. Joe married his lovely wife Laurie Kevil on September 6, 1991. He spent most of his adult life as an electrician working all over the United States.
The Guest Book is expired.
Joe was a loving husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, son, brother and uncle. He was an awesome friend and teacher. Joe believed that if you were going to do something you should do it right the first time. He was never afraid to speak his mind and tell it like it was ""or at least how it should be!"" and was always active in Scouts as an adult leader and loved going on campouts with the boys. Joe made it through some of the hardest trials a man can face in life and the people who knew and loved him know his stubbornness and willingness to persevere is what made him the person we all love so much. Joe loved and enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles, going to the races and NASCAR. He came to know the Lord as his personal Savior 3 years ago and was baptized August 23, 2009. Joe is at home with the Lord walking by his side now. We all love him and find comfort knowing he is watching over us all.
Those left to cherish his love and memory are his wife: Laurie Chambers of Odessa; Parents: Pete and Barbara Chambers of Odessa; Daughters: Cindy Chambers of San Antonio and Stacy Allen of Lubbock; Sons: Joe Craig Beck of Odessa, Christopher Beck of Lubbock; Brother: Mike Chambers of Austin; Sisters: Dana Mosley of Gardendale and Lisa Chambers Smith of Midland; 11 Grandchildren.
Joe is preceded in death by his grandparents and one niece: Rebecca Chambers
Memorial Services will be held 6:00 p.m. Saturday, April 28, 2012, in the garden at his parent's home located at 6978 N. Carter Ave. in Odessa, officiated by Chaplain Abraham Langston.
