ANDREWS Sergio "Sam" Garza Marquez, 81, of Andrews, died Friday, May 4, 2012, at his Andrews residence.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Monday at McNett Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Andrews with the Rev. Bernard Gully officiating. Burial will be at Andrews North Cemetery. Arrangements are by McNett Funeral Home.
He was born in Sanderson. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, and he owned a Texaco Service Station. He was Catholic.
SURVIVORS Wife, Francisca Marquez of Andrews; sons, Ricardo "Ricky" Marquez of Andrews, Abel Marquez of Lubbock and Earnest Marquez of Andrews; brother, Eleno Marquez of Sanderson; sister, Alicia Marquez-Cardenas of Mesa, Ariz.; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
