Jimmy R. Cortez, 70, of Odessa, died Friday, July 6, 2012, in Odessa.
Rosary was said Sunday at Hubbard Kelly Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with the Rev. Arturo Pestin officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are by Hubbard Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Terlingua. He was retired from Permian Enterprises.
SURVIVORS Wife, Socorro; son, Albert Cortez; daughters, Irma Carrillo, Hilda Martinez and Maricella Martinez; brothers, Miguel Cortez, Locadio Cortez, Johnny Cortez and Evaristo Cortez; sisters, Paula Marquez and Yolanda Hernandez; 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren
