Joey Daniel Duarte

1989 - 2014 Obituary Condolences
ODESSA Joey Daniel Duarte, 24, was called to be with the Lord on March 20, 2014.

Joey was born on December 4, 1989, in Fort Stockton, TX. Joey resided in Denver, CO, and then Odessa, TX.

He is survived by his parents, Cesar and Debra (Duarte) Sarabia.

He graduated from Permian High School in 2008. Joey was a constant reminder of how a smile could change a person's entire day. Always one to make others laugh or smile, he would go out of his way to make a joke or say a kind word to others. Joey was the embodiment of someone who had never met a stranger. Never one to be shy, he would always be in the presence of a friend everywhere he went. He was a very dedicated and hard worker, and worked for his father, Cesar. Joey has always been the biggest Denver Broncos fan. He enjoyed family, sports, and promoting music and events. He loved to be out in the presence of his many friends, but would also spend time at home with his parents and siblings. Throughout his entire life, he and his brother, CJ Sarabia, were inseparable. They were together through thick and thin, through the bad times and the good. He will always be remembered as beloved son, brother, cousin, nephew, godson, and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Rosaries will be at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors. The funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Odessa, TX, with Rev. Mark Woodruff officiating. Interment will follow at Ector County Odessa Cemetery.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Abelardo Fuentes Sarabia; great-grandfather, Sixto Pacheco; maternal grandmother, Ernestina Pacheco; and uncle, Tomas Pacheco.

He is survived by his loving parents, Cesar and Debra Sarabia, and his beloved sister, Leandra Sarabia. He is also survived by his great-grandmother, Enriqueta Pacheco, and grandmother, Andrea Leyva Sarabia. Uncles and Aunts include: Pilar Sarabia, Martin and Adel Sarabia, Raymond and Alma Gonzales, Sergio and JoAnn Sarabia, Diana and Carlos Padilla, Daniel and Leticia Sarabia, Monica and Ralph Baeza, Christina Galindo, Sixto Pacheco, Jr., and Patricia Pacheco.
