Lena Pauline Parish Obituary
ODESSA Lena Pauline Parish, age 72, of Oak Point, TX, passed from this life on Tuesday, April 8, 2014, at her home. She was born in Hyman, TX, on May 24, 1941, to the late Edward Adolph Lippe and Lena Alene (Burleson) Lippe, but grew up in Odessa. She was a faithful member of Bible Baptist Church and worked as a grocery attendant.
Lena loved cheeseburgers and Dr. Pepper, as well as having a soft spot for Rocky Road and Hershey's Kisses. A very special person, you could not find anyone with a bigger heart than Lena. She loved everyone she met and literally prayed every night for everyone she knew. She never had a bad thing to say about anyone and would give the shirt from her back to help someone out. Lena loved her grandchildren and lovingly spoiled them at every opportunity. Her friends from church were dear to her. She enjoyed showing the girls there her "bling" every Sunday.
Those left to cherish her memory are her mother: Alene Lippe of Odessa; daughter: Renay Goodman and husband Tony of Oak Point; three sisters: Laverne Lippe and Barbara Lippe, both of Odessa, and Debrah Coots and husband Jim Bob of Midland; six grandchildren: Ayren and Anthony "Bubba" Goodman of Oak Point, and Braden, Cameron, Jerod, and Cabot Parish of Crane; and her beloved dog: Tucker.
Her father: Edward Lippe and her son: Jimmy Ray Parish, precede her to her Heavenly home.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Saturday, April 12, 2014, at Acres West Funeral Chapel, officiated by Pastor John Lyons. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel, 8115 W. University Blvd., Odessa, TX, and condolences may be sent to the family online at
No matter how far or how long, her love will still be with us, whether in spirit, mind, or body. Shall you ever shed a tear, your angel will always be near. We will forever keep loving you!
